Hi Clyde,
If it's the bolt I am thinking of, the answer is NO. It is a plug that is used to hold a spring and a ball for 1 of the shift detents. You want to add oil by way of the large plug on the side of the transmission in the middle of the side cover.Be sure you use the proper gear oil (GL-4 90 weight)
