<VV> Crank gear issue - drilling advice

hi Seth,maybe you can relay to the guy (Garry?) on VV that he CAN drill the 
 centers of the bolts fairly easy,the OD is the 'hardened' part..slow  
speed,straight and centered with cutting/tapping fluid..someone *may have* used  
loctite on them as a 'sealant'..
