The GM mailing I got for a company owned '77 Olds with a Chevy 350 engine included a chart that showed the Chevy engine features on one side and the Olds engine on the other. The only difference I remember was that the Olds had valve rotators on both intake and exhaust valves and the Chevy only had them on the exhaust valves.

Years ago my wife and I had a '79 Buick Riveria that had an Olds 350 V-8. I
wouldn't have known it but a mechanic at an independent repair shop mentioned it
while we had it for for service. He said the difference in the engines was in
the heads.
Except that Oldsmobile, Buick, etc., were upscale automobiles and cost more, I
doubt that any customers who got other divisions' engines in their cars were
really harmed. Then again, maybe resale values of the more costly cars suffered
when they were found to have Chevy engines. Anyone have info on that?
