Scotty - I disagree with much of your statement. Certainly the government  
frowns upon modification of smog or safety systems on cars. The factories 
want  to limit their liability. But all of the major US manufacturers want to 
fully  engage their customers and they provide the information and often the 
parts  themselves to the aftermarket. There has been a battle for the  
dealer information needed for repair - mostly needed by independent repair  
shops. But that battle is somewhat over, as the government has taken the sides  
of the consumers and now requires release of most data. Easily, the three  
largest displays at the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association (SEMA) show 
 later this month in Las Vegas will be the GM display, the Ford display and 
the  Chrysler/Mopar display. I am looking forward to wearing out my feet!
