Since there have been some accidental loss of life in the Pacific 
Northwest from absolute reliance on a gps unit, the term ''Suicide by 
GPS" has come into play for those who use a gps unit without also 
applying some common sense. Generally involves driving up some 
mountainous logging road "shortcut" in heavy snow without recognizing 
that one should have turned back a couple miles previous.

In their place, even I will admit the things can be fairly useful, if 
you have a trained co-pilot to operate said infernal device.
