<VV> brake probem?

A friend suggested maybe there is a little air in the system somewhere.
 I'll bleed it really well and see I guess, but the scary thing is that if
this isn't the cause we will have another momentary brake failure which if
at the wrong moment could be scary.  Hopefully in bleeding the brakes I'll
see/hear some air escape and know that it was likely the cause.
