Ron - Let me also chime in - That if the problem were "easy" to fix  or 
even possible don't you think one of us money grubbing capitalists would 
have marketed one?

So far, all I've seen are fan re-designs that DO NOT WORK in enough 
circumstances usually encountered in driving a Corvair .  In addition 
they are very expensive.

I would work on a redesign myself but so far I can't see any practical 
way   to improve over the stock.

I'm ready.
