<VV> FC axle shaft / Flange spline failure

Drove the 65 brier to work today. Made it to the light at the front gate. gave it gas....... pop/ grinding but no go.

I had to push it across two lanes of traffic into a parking lot.
got a ride home after work and picked up the truck and trailer and off to the rescue.
long and the short of it it      Bolt still tight. axle spinning in flange.
It sheared all the teeth off the inside of the  flange. 

Sure it happens but first I've seen it
