Yes, the horse collar cross member has to be notched to clear the aluminum
front bearing retainer on the 4-speed trans.  A few minutes with a cutting
torch should take care of that issue.  In my mind it would be simpler to cut
the roof off the coupe and make it an open roadster than switching the
trans, shifter, clutch, etc.!  GRIN
