<VV> Temp/Press Idiot Light

about 1500 miles on the Ultra Monza since the restoration is over.
Took car out for about a 90 mile cruise on Sat. Runs like a swiss watch. 
Sat in garage from 3PM Sat to 7PM Monday.

Turn car on to take to painter for paint repair on fender.

TEMP/PRESS Idiot light comes on.

Shut down---check oil level---FULL.  Oil--COLD.

Start up again, idle for a few, rev engine----no sign of knocking, valve 
covers normal to touch.

Drive car 25 miles to painter. Idiot light disconnected.  No Radio, 
country roads, window down, listening for knocks.

Engine sounds and shifts smooth as silk throughout the power band (95HP 
with Otto Mild Cam)

Get to painter's house.  Shut down.  Valve cover bottoms seem normal 
temp. Still idling fine, no excessive heat in engine compartment.

????

Possibilities?  POS Made in China sender?  Other  Ideas?
