Total seal offers a multitude of choices for the top ring...if you choose the chrome, it’s going to take a long time to seat....If you you choose Moly, a much shorter time will be required. I’ve had a set in my turbo sand car, (running 15 psi boost) for 22 years, and they still hold great. It also helps if you install them as per the instructions and not haphazardly.
