But, are we really seeing all that many tappet to cam failures? I remember as a 
kid, SBCs tore these up periodically then, not so sure it's any worse now.

Not really!!  Our stock heads only HAD 80 psi closed pressure and 100 open...


I run Wally  cheapy   bluecan 20-50.... even has syntheyics!... but low ZZDP
