Mark,

The VIN on a 69 is viewable through the windshield.  I took a photo of it
two years ago, the VIN is 105679W703253.  Because of the flash I can't be
sure about the third digit from the right, it might be a three not a two.
 I can post the photo if anyone wants to see it.
