Metal plugs? Are you talking about the original "punch outs"? I've always
seen rubber ones to fill the hole. Never had a problem with them and I've
gotten the brakes pretty darn hot in road course and/or autocross racing.

Subject: <VV> Late model brake adjuster hole
I seem to run across a lot of late model drums with the brake adjuster hole
punched out. This has not been a problem because I had a supply of metal
adjuster hole plugs, which I recently exhausted. As you all may well know
rubber plugs dont last long (melt)and the water gets in....never that fun.
Anyone know where a supply of these metal plugs might be found? The place I
used to get then locally went out of business.
