Nope, I don't have a plasma cutter. I have a friend who does, and we have
made use of it twice when installing accordion boots in two of my 'vairs...

Kent,

I already have serious garage envy. You have a plasma cutter too? I can't
wait for Jim Simpson to get his new garage built so Group Corvair can go
hang out there.

I realize not everyone has access to one of these, but a plasma cutter is
by far the best tool for this if the doors are to stay on the car.

Yeah, I did mine with a right angle drill and a really short bit. It still
was a bi..ch, but doable.

Right-angle drill, maybe? I'd sure like to avoid removing the doors if
possible if it were my car.
