<VV> fuel consumption

293 miles before a fill up?  I’m going to remember that the next time I ride
with you JR.  Anyway it works out to a bit more than 22 mpg which is not
unreasonable.  I have one of the new tanks made in Canada.  I believe it is
close to 14 gals but when I did run out it only took a bit more than 13
gallons to fill it.  Based on that, I suspect you were getting pretty close
to the limit of that tank.   I discovered too late that my fuel gauge won’t
go below 1/8 of a tank.  Now, I start looking for a station at a ¼ tank.  I
also put 240 miles as my limit on the highway and 200 miles as my limit when
driving mostly in stop and go traffic.  As light as that car is, it still
ain’t no fun to push it.  I was within 50 feet of the pump when it died.
