Sweet is one, I believe.

Leaks around Corvair oil filler caps are not unusual, neither are 
attempts to eliminate such leakage, which is what your tin foil sounds 
like.  Personally, I consider such leaks as evidence of the improperly 
designed PCV system on the Corvair, but I digress.  Without having one 
in my hand, I would assume (dangerous territory) that Clark's is 
referencing that their caps are not shiny, newly galvanized units, but 
typical used ones.  If you want NOS, look in the NOS catalog, where even

those parts are 40 or 50 years old and are not likely to be shiny & 
newly galvanized, because they are no longer "new", just previously 
unused.  I would not expect any of our esteemed vendors to be selling 
"nasty" parts.
