Hello JR,

About 2 weeks ago I again checked the various formulations of Mobil 1 on
the shelves at my local Wal-Mart. Mobil 1 High Mileage was still available
in 5W-30, 10W-30 and 10W-40. Both the 5W-30 and 10W-30 weights carried
only the API service rating SL/CF. However the 10W-40 was rated SN, SM,
SL/CF. None had the "Energy Saving" starburst symbol. The label description
stated that these oils contain extra anti-wear additives (ZDDP) and seal
conditioners for older and 75k+ mile engines. ExxomMobil's product data sheet:

http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/MotorOil/Files/Mobil_1_Product_Guide.pdf

lists all of the High Mileage oils as having 1000ppm P and 1100ppm Zn. I
think this would be adequate for a properly broken-in, stable running
Corvair engine in normal service conditions.

Last fall I picked up a couple of 5 quart bottles of the 10W-30 when it was
"rollback" priced at $23.88 each.
