Top Gear - Tuesday 28 Feb 2012 air date

This was a typical prime time entertaining show as I expected. It did
nothing towards examining what or why the car(s) depicted were bad and/or
unsafe and merely reinforced public conception or misconception of the
attributes of each vehicle. The tenants used could be applied to any car with same
results. I'm not even sure why the Pinto caught fire. It was obviously
staged. Throwing eggs a moving car's windshield does not prove anything.

On a lighter side there were no bikini clad 'hotties' but the Corvair did
win.

Television is probably the worst medium to explore safety issues. One
thing I've always been told about television is, "DON'T take it seriously."
Not for nothing they call it the boob tube.

Did anyone have the opportunity to see the top gear program with the
Corvair. If so, how was our little friend portrayed?
