I drove my '64 Spyder convert for many years in the winter in the northeast.
When I re-built it from a non-running roller, I installed a '60
"rapid-action-aircraft-type-heater" in it to run the defrost, and left the
hot-air heat installed through the rockers and rear seat. Instant heat and
defrost, and nice toasty engine heat after a bit. With both of them going,
you could drive it in the snow with the top down and at least your bottom
half would be warm.
