<VV> tire pressure gauge

On my truck it's not that the pressure changes on it's own with load but that
the contact patch on the ground for a given pressure changes with load. Also the
tire's load carrying ability is determined by the pressure. That's why I use 55
psi empty and 80 psi loaded. That's also why the front tires on our Corvairs use
a lower pressure than the back. If you put 500 lbs in the trunk you would
probably want little or no pressure differential front to back.

Yes, we have a military vehicle at work with that feature. An MTVR. 5
tires work great. One tire seems to work in reverse! We have to keep
filling it up with an air hose..
I'm not sure there is a pressure reading difference on tires as you load
and unload them. I can set the pressure on a tire on the tire machine
and then it reads the same when it is installed on the vehicle and
loaded. Same with loaded and unloaded readings on rear pick up truck tires.
Seth says his Corvette does display psi. Hey Seth, what does it read in
a corner? Not like you are looking at the road!
