Now, that's the kind of info I'm looking for, Thanks Stan!. Dimpling the frame rail is something I didn't think of but still not a show stopper.
What about the brake pedal, is it different to clear the collapsible section?

You will have to dimple the frame rail at the coupler between the box and the
column as the clip will catch under rotation. The fire wall flange mounting is
different and will require work too. The other part is the electrical on the
column for the 4 way flasher.
