When we lived in Quincy IL, we used to cross over the bridge to West Quincy
MO and get gas.  Never got gas in Illinois if we could help it, and that was
35 years ago.

Here on the west side of St Louis it dropped to $2.86/gallon earlier today;
across the river in Illinois, figure about $3.06-3.16.  Something I learned
when I moved here from Puget Sound in mid '05, Illinois has both a gas and
sales tax on fuel, hence the higher price.
