Mostly, I hear that in reference to the FCs.
 
I also get surprised and sometimes doubting looks when people  see a turbo 
in a 60s car.  "Wow, did you install that turbo  yourself?"

I usually get the comment: "I didn't  know they made it in a 4 door".
