Hence the reason no one, and I mean NO ONE, uses plastic threaded connections to make an electrical connection anymore.

The plastic on the Clark's replacement is a bit brittle, too, and the clips
that hold it in the frame rail tend to break off when installing it. Warm
it a bit first.
