<VV> Heater Hose Question and Mark Durham

I'm about to replace some heater hoses on one of my LMs with the last of my 
 original style heater hose from Clark's, but I recently saw red  
heater/ventilation hose on a new airplane with an air cooled Lycoming engine  that 
looks similar to ours.  It looks as if it is wire supported and  about the 
right size and has to make the same sort of bends.  Is this  available for our 
use in the right size and do the materials used do away with  the signature 
odor that our cars have when new?  (Not the oil smell from  leaks, but the 
odor of new heater hoses).
