Belt hum, fan hum, or bearing hum? Listen at idle and increased rpm with a
rubber hose at each part to see what is the sound you hear.
If you cannot repeat the noise doing this, it may be drivetrain related.
Countershaft hum?

I assume you've taken the belt off briefly to verify it's really the belt.
My first thought would be try a different brand of belt. Second thought is
to run it a smidge looser or tighter to see if that changes things. Also
check over the pulleys themselves for flaws.
