<VV> Manual verses PG difference

I didn't time it but I went from PG to 4-speed on my '63 85HP and it went from watching the scenery to make sure which direction I was going to peppy enough to be fun to drive.

How much difference will there be? Has anyone ever compared the two tranies to each other for 1/4 mile times and speeds?
