<VV> Early model performance

I've noticed a recent interest in early model performance issues (YH carbs, 
anti-jacking straps, swing axles, etc). Terry Stafford from Long Island 
immediately comes to mind when I hear early performance. He has been actively 
campaigning an early for more years then I can remember and has much knowledge. 
Not sure whether he monitors VV, but would be happy to forward questions if OK
