5,500 miles. On that ocassion (while in Canada) I just took it off. Two
days ago I decided it was time to install the other one (brand new) so, did
it. Today, while tuning engine for emissions test, it started leaking gas,
bubbling thru the uper end. Fortunately, in both cases, I was not on the
road but, doing some work on the engine.
I'm attaching a picture showing the leak.

These regulators are junk and dangerous !!

The old "Filt-o-Reg" design, probably screwed up in manufacturing.

Daniel - If you are looking for a reliable pressure regulator, I can
recommend the Holley Unit. They have both a high pressure unit(not for the Vair)
and a low pressure. The low pressure unit is Holley P/N 12-804. It is
adjustable from 1-4 PSI I have used one for many applications, both on
Rochesters and Webers. I usually install it as a splitter to feed both sides of the
motor, the bottom is the input and both the left and right are outputs. I
install a tee fitting on one side and install a mechanical fuel pressure
gauge on the tee with the other side feeding one side of the motor. That way
you can adjust the pressure with the motor running, while watching the gauge
to see the effect of your adjustment. I have had very good luck with those
regulators. $28 at Summit Racing. It has 3/8 NPT threads, so be prepared
to buy fittings!
