<VV> Corsa temp sender options

Hey all,

     Considering the cost of a factory Corsa/Spyder temperature sender (for
the gauge not the light) I was wondering if there are any alternatives.  I
know there are aftermarket head temp senders that go under a spark plug, but
I want to use the factory gauge.... anyone know if this is possible, or any
other alternatives retaining the factory gauge?  I'm looking for an
inexpensive solution.
