Folks,
As much as this debate is fun - I think you guys are talking about two different engines. A 145 inch 150 is somewhat different from a 164 inch 180. Based on what I've seen over the years, 140/150 is right on the edge of the stock cooling system. The 180 gets you over the edge.
However, the point about it running too cool is well worth paying attention to, if you're not seeing excessive temps, making it cooler is not a good idea.
