 Well, yeah, multiaxis machining centers can do almost anything, and cheaply as there's very little fixed tooling. Keep in mind, in this video, they were putting a keyway in aluminum. Steel would be much slower. 

The Italians are THE leaders in this type of manufacturing technology, hands down.
