<VV> compression test

A lifter is holding the valve open. Book calls for one turn past zero lash,
but 1/2 turn is ok.
Hydraulic lifters don't always bleed down quickly in static mode, but will
when run.
I am assuming you're adjusting them cold and by the book (let's not get
into adjusting them warm like SOME folks do).

Subject: <VV> compression test
I have re- assembled my 64 110 engine after a "re-seal" Did a compression
check. All but two cylinders looked Ok ( within 10 lb. of 145 lb). #'s 3 &
5 read 0. I backed off the valve adj. on those two cylinders, re-tested and
got 160 & 175 lb.s can anyone tell me just what this might indicate? such
as bad rings, bad valves or what?
