The oil that came out of the engine was VERY clean! Probably because it settled for so long. I will be checking the sludge when the pan comes off. I hope the P.O. did not put in new oil to store the car. In any case once the condition is known to be good, it will surely need a set of 'Seth' wires ... but ... I am not yet sure of which color. And yes, a set of 'Vitons.'

Install a battery then crank the engine till the oil pressure comes up. Add gas to the can and snort some down the carbs, key on and start.

(Modified distributor -no gear- as the tool) Bring the oil pressure up and rotate the motor a few times with the starter so you know all little nooks and crannies have been exposed. Then put in the distributor (back in the right place!), and crank to start. I think that will help the lifters pump up quicker.
