So, if I were to fly cut the top of a crankcase and restamp it, who would know the diff?

Since I started this, actually I was looking at entire engines with
heads and sheet metal since that's the way we stored them. It sounds
like I get the closest to what I want by sticking with a manual Corsa
engine and not just a 140, even if I need to find a lower stress block
to go with it...the lowest stress I could come up with in the stash was
a 110 auto w/air but someone may want that one for a stock resto. I
suppose I could even then redrill non Corsa 140 heads for the
thermistor. Still in the sorting stages though...prompted by having
momentary access to the family supply of hardware.
