Folks, 
The website of the GM Heritage Center in Detroit has several documents online that can be downloaded at no charge for many cars including the Corvair. Most of the information was once available by calling a toll free number with your VIN and providing your address, Chevrolet would mail the information to you at no charge. Now, all you have to do is go to the website and click on the tab you are interested in (such as "Vehicle Information Kits") and then you get a list of all cars that they have available info on. Find Corvair and you get the model year list from which you may choose. They have recently added Historical Brochures list as well. 


Of course, some of the information that Ulli was seeking doesn't exist because at the time, no one required it.
