I don't hold the cell phone, I put it into the cup holder because I don't like to have it in my pocket with the seat belt on. I also use a blue tooth while driving so I don't need to hold a cell phone. Here in Jersey, cell phone use while driving can cost you a few $$$$. 



I should also have stated "my car" is a Corvette that came with a cup holder.
