You're right JR =) I'm always setting people straight when they get in my
passenger seat and try to steal half of my seat belt! People find it hard
to believe that the belts are supposed to be crossed but it does make sense
in a frontal collision.
On the other hand if I had any desire to install a center console I'd
simply install stronger mounting points for the inboard belt ends =)
