Well , many years ago I had a '68 camaro that I put '67 hideaway headlights on.
Was adjusting the limit switches ,so had the car idling with the headlights on in my garage. A friend stops by and starts telling me about this neat trick to test my alternator. Since I was woking on the headlight door wiring ihad the battery cable loosened.
Next thing I know he pulls the battery cable off and my alternator starts cycling to max voltage. My headlights were flashing so bright that before I could hit the ignition switch both my headlights blew out.
He said " I never saw that before!"
All I could say was " thanks!"
