<VV> Viton main seals- any problems?

Have any of you guys happened to have had unsatisfactory results after
installing new Viton main seals?  These were used in my recent engine
rebuild and we are having a heck of a time. The metal surfaces are
absolutely polished and still I am having oil leaking out the main seals
very slowly.
