where  D.E.D., Jr. spoke) David E. Davis, Jr. was with Campbell-Ewald,  
Chevy's  erstwhile, long-time ad agency, in the early '60s and he  took 
credit 
for the  switch in Corvair advertising from emphasizing  Corvair's 
practical, 
economy car  virtues in '60 and '61 advertising  to emphasizing Corvairs 
sporting nature with  model year  '62.
