PRETTY IS, as PRETTY "DOES" ,....... That is a nice looking unit, but , if they a messing with a 3.48 stroke, they are only doing it coz cranks are easily available [stock car].
Scat contacted us in the '80s coz we were the only guys doing serious R&D [almost 100hrs. of dyno time], on the V-4........ WE were consistently pulling about 10% more HPs than they were. The torque comes from the "ODD-FIRE" configuration [w/ 180 degree crank ]. This is the best and worst thing about our engine. IT is very hard on starters and flywheels , & rough idling until it gets to 3000,......... THEN LOOK OUT!!!! The Blitz V-4 is 4" bore by 3" stroke. IT will turn about 8200rpm.
The project had just about sucked us dry [financially] , when our engine man Bill Gwynn in Suffolk VA. passed . [ RIP Billy] The V-4 is on "HOLD" right now.

So you're talking $30,000 to put into a Corvair and the only result would be
a completely torn up drivetrain???
