More accurately, Edison developed the light bulb. He made it practical.

FYI: Nikola Tesla invented the light bulb before Edison.
If Edison was a genius, then Tesla was a SUPER GENIUS. He invented and
proved AC current superior to Edison's DC current. Tesla worked for
Edison
or a short time but Edison couldn't or wouldn't recognize Tesla's
genius or
accept AC current as practical.
Check out the ALL ELECTRIC Tesla sports car. MUCH more power and range
that
the Chevy VOLT by Government Motors or ANY production electric vehicle
for
that matter.
