 Ray- The lifter probably got a bit of dirt in it and bled down. Sometimes all that is needed to get itall the way pumped up again is to run the car for a good half an hour or so (long enough to get theoil good and warm). If that doesnt do it, change the oil, and run the car for a half an hour again. Ifthe lifter still isnt quiet, then set the lifter with the engine running- but instead of the usual method,try to (very slowly!!!!!) bottom the lifter first, then back off the nut until clatter, then retighten to whateverturns the other lfters are set at.Kevin Nash
