Paul, There are no known available fluid dampers that adapt easily to the  
Corvair. They have been used but a new belt drive mechanism is needed. Fluid 
 dampers are actually superior to the friction/simpson-type the Corvair 
uses  since they aren't tuned to a specific frequency like the Corvair ones.
