Smitty Says;  Gosh Bob, you are putting me on the same level with Dr Benzinger?  We both came to the conclusion that a Damper was not needed on Early engines.
As for that 2,700 rpm vibration in Late engines , I already said I couldn't remember where I read it.  I might even have heard it.  Maybe at Dr Benzinger's talk.  I do remember I was amazed by it.  But since I can't prove it we, will have to assume I was BSing and forget the whole thing.
