I'm rebuilding a P G for a guy in Arizona as a favor. A 65 convertible. I
have some van P G 's. I think the extra cooling could help in his area. Any
 thoughts or info. Bob Dunahugh.

I did that on a race car once. First, the front cover of the PG has two
things that make it unique for the cooler, the holes are tapped for the out
and in, and there is a plug inside that forces the fluid to leave and return.
Second, the front cross-member of the late model has to have a pair of
holes added to allow the hoses or fitting to come out. A van cross-member, at
least one for a PG equipped one, has the holes in the correct place. You or
the guy in AZ will have to add those holes. Larry Claypool built the PG
for me using the FC front cover. It worked fine. It was probably the only
Stinger that ever has a PG installed in it. It was an Autocross car at the
time.
