The other issue is that a finished car will always be "someone else's
car" and not "your" car, a product of your own labors and skill (or lack
thereof), and thus a source of pride to yourself (if no one else). As
an example, the Canadian car that was recently featured in the
Communiqué -- he'll never be able to get what he has into it in labor
out of selling it -- he did what was a "hopeless" project to start with
because he wanted to and knew he had the skills necessary to do it --
it's just an awesome ride built precisely to his own personal taste over
what was it, five years? IF he sold it, it would deservedly always be
"Sproeg's Car" (apologies for any spelling error).
