Just so as to provide an alternative method , whether right or wrong. 

I freed a stuck disc on a little used '71 chevy van by soaking the disc with brakekleen sprayed generously onto the edge of the disc.
It freed up rightaway.

I've used the get it going, depress clutch, brake and (if you can gas) pedals method succesfully but never in neutral. I think that defeats the purpose.
